Residents at The Old Police Station in Isleworth, an original Victorian property, owned by the Council, have collectively paid thousands of £’s in compulsory Service charges over the years, yet have seen zero maintenance to both the property and the communal garden. Now with broken Asbestos tile flooring in the communal entrance & stairwell, a fallen cast iron drainpipe, weather rotted original sash window frames now pose a risk to the Public, should glass panes fall out, Rising Damp throughout the ground floor, loose fitting & missing roof tiles has led to a damaged supporting beam. Both Leaseholders and Council tenants living in this Heritage property have repeatedly been fobbed off by the Council, yet it clearly stipulates in their contract with them and backed up in English Law, that the responsibility lies with the Council to maintain both the Property and garden. Growing tall is a magnificent flowering Rose tree , much admired by local residents. Following a 15 minute inspection inside and out made by a Council property Surveyor, it had been determined the Rose must Go and will be removed by their Maintenance Team ASAP, there has been no correspondence received as yet as to when more Urgent maintenance work is to be carried out. Another example of one of London’s Rotten Boroughs. |
