Modern Post Offices take up very little space as can be seen in several local outlets. The floor space at the library could easily accommodate, but failing that, even a temporary one could go into the Grounds. It's quite normal even in the USA and Canada and to find a Post Office in a public building and in the US very common attached to public libraries. But I can't think of a more practical location that is easy to get to and from. High street is now a disaster, Impossible to park and bereft of any reason to go there. No effort forthcoming whatsoever from LBH to relieve it and clearly Ballymore must be supporting the tucked away businesses within it's bounds. I note that despite spaces in that area, no offer of a temporary Post Office facility has come from them, Even if a Portakabin type PO which are common in other places. |
