So having been kicked out of Blondin Park, Three Mobile and EE are now hoping to put up a 60-foot high monster mast in Boston Manor Playing Fields instead. It’s interesting to see that the proposed mast relies very heavily on Huawei technology. One of the drawings submitted to Hounslow Council specifies the deployment of a Huawei BTS3900A cabinet. http://planning2.hounslow.gov.uk/NPSPublicDocs/00688507.pdf In case you’re not familiar with it, the Huawei BTS3900A cabinet is the part of the system that deals with your calls, texts, emails and web searches. The technology in the Huawei BTS3900A also makes it possible to send all of this to Beijing so the Chinese government can see exactly what you’re up to. You can object here (link below) but only mention planning-related concerns, like height, overshadowing and loss of amenity. Spying by foreign powers does not count as a “material” concern. https://eforms.hounslow.gov.uk/ufs/ufsmain?formid=A086_PLANNING_COMMENTS&ALT_REF=00132%2FA%2FCOM1&CASE_NO=PA%2F2020%2F2091&ebz=1_1594408177409&ebd=0&ebz=1_1594408177409 |
