I visited a French care home (state run). The care assistants seemed very attentive. There were simple maths every afternoon, and shape sorting etc. Then singing etc. In the entrance there was a lake with plants around it. I asked what the idea was and was told the plants were from the local forest (it was in the country) and gave them a reminder of life outside. The rooms were very nice with blinds in between the double glazing operated by a button. It turned out all the staff were civil servants. I looked up on the internet and found France has 5 million servants, and Germany 2 million. So as you say Peter there is another scandel and of course the statistics of care home covid19. |
