Alot of sensationalism on this thread and wildly varying numbers - put simply they don't add up. Going back to the front page article it talks about an extra 25,000 flights a year, which would equate on average to an additional 68/69 additional flights per day. Which clearly doesn't align with Jennifer's suggestion of an additional 47 flights per hour. Whatever people think of Heathrow expansion, as with anything, it's important to get the numbers right to ensure credibility. |
