| Here is a comment from the planning officer: The car park is a part of the outline application and some preparatory works have commenced on site (following several Non Material Amendments to change the wording of some of the conditions so they can start demolition works before discharging all of the pre-commencement conditions). The archaeological condition has been submitted and is with us, and Historic England is directly involved in discussion with the applicant, so everything is in hand. In terms of the car park, the approved parameters of outline application have not been changed since the application was approved a few years ago. According to the approved outline, the main structure of the building cannot be higher than 30m AOD (and the highest point of the building cannot be higher than 33m AOD), which allows for approx. 9 storey car park - and to my knowledge, this is what the architects are designing. The outline plans only specify the height of the building and the number of car parking spaces, not how many storeys can fit within the height limit. I would hate to suggest that Brentford Today Facebook page is peddling fake news, so perhaps they know something councillors and planning officers don't |
