Whatever you think of it, that's not what is planned. The boundary commission is not meddling with Borough boundaries, only parliamentary constituencies so the current logical arrangement where Hounslow is congruent with two parliamentary constituencies will not survive. Still, it will help the Tories get a few more seats.
The boundary commission is just starting to look at ward boundaries within Hounslow where the most populous ward, Brentford has 11687 voters (and rising fast) compared with Chiswick Homefields which has 8190. |
