| Thanks Sarah it appeared to me that Cllr. Todd was unhappy at the rate at which we were recycling our garden waste...I don't know why LBH don't just put a couple of bob on everyone's council tax to pay for this. And before you say that not everyone has a garden, not everyone has children in education either or a parent in a care home or in receipt of council care etc.Some of us also produce vet little household rubbish (We barely fill the wheelie a third full in a week) whereas a family will sometimes fill one right up every week.It's also quite cynical when you look at it..close the depot where people usually take their garden waste and then charge them to take it away and don't allow them to put it in their household waste, and then propose a 20% increase after just a couple of years of operation. Gawd knows how much it will be at this rate in 6 years eh? |
