When a resident petitioned 23 out of 54 homes in one street had no full internet access. Many are elderly and did not have even an email address. I do use the internet but I did not know when and how to look up this. I went on the basis of the forms I filled in and with the concerns I had. We did not know at all what was coming apart from knowing it would be for a CPZ. We do know that the overwhelming majority of residents did not want a full six day zone. No reasoning or even reference to that was made in the presentation until the very last sentence. You have to remember Adam, that you are fully au fait with council and planning procedures and know where to look, and how to object. Most of us are not. As for research, what was looked into was what were were sent by LBH, which was at least fairly clear and with good detailed maps. It was the detail in the maps that we turned out to hear about as representations, letters and observations had already been placed. Not a word of referral was made to those. One wonders short of being a full time expert what one can do. If we were expecting this then we and plenty of other would have turned out fully prepared . As for Cllr. Harmer, he must have known. Why did he not put this in his circular ? Something that is in general a welcome round up of what is going on and at least informs people who otherwise want just to get on with their lives . |
