"It is unlikely that a CPZ will be introduced for a single street only, simply because all this will do is displace the parking problem onto a nearby adjacent street. For a CPZ to be effective it has to be introduced on an area wide basis so that the potential for displacement is minimised." Source: http://www.hounslow.gov.uk/index/transport_and_streets/parking/street_parking_zones.htm So exactly why was Hamilton road deemed an exceptional case? The decision contradicts Hounslow's own CPZ guidelines. Parking has become increasingly difficult in this area. A new single street CPZ is making it even worse.Street by street consultation is undemocratic, it should be area wide or not at all. Councillors are you listening? |
