| Sure...3 seats are yours,it's good to get in early as I can see it being in great demand (might even need two coaches). I had a beezer idea,as an ex Beeb employee I may be able to arrange an additional visit to Broadcasting House and show you the atomic clocks that I helped install in the eighties they're quite impressive grey boxes with lights on. Sadly we probably wont hear the leap pip,that went out in December,needless to say I stayed up to listen to the seventh pip...quite impressive that was! Pips can be interesting things,once years ago a young oik on the sound desk got bored on the night shift and spread the pip signal across six separate faders,the idea being that he would lift each fader in turn for each pip,he fumbled and only five pips went out.(are you bored yet?) Anyway he went to the duty manager to own up,the DM said "That's OK we've all done it,was it the first or the last one?" "The middle one" came the reply. The DM wasn't amused,though I thought it was hilarious,in fact just thinking about it now had me rolling on the floor. ;0) 14:42 |
