Forgive me but I do not see how this proposed development will reduce existing overcrowding or poor quality housing. A quick search on find a property shows 254 properties for sale in the Brentford area and 195 to rent. A large proportion of these are in the fairly new developments. There is no shortage of housing if you have money. There is, however, a shortage of social housing for those unable to obtain a mortgage or afford to rent. I don't see how yet another private development helps this. I appreciate that a percentage will go toward affordable housing, however not nearly enough to ease the situation.

The real issue seems to be the mismanagement of properties by Hounslow Homes.
