Dawn There is nowt wrong with being a radical. Our local community has been conditioned for years into a state of timidity and subservience and only recently have residents' leaders been encouraged to challenge, to question, even (horror of horrors) to disagree with their self-appointed betters from time to time. Your thoughts and contributions follow in that fine tradition. It's just that I keep recalling the words of the National Labour MP Harold Nicolson, who pointed out that the English are "always most impressed by those who take off their boots before kicking below the belt". |
