It does look very attractive. If we want to keep and encourage shops like this, we need to use them (I haven't yet, I must admit). Recently (as reported in the TW8 Newsletter in September)Brentford High Street came out as London's top Home Town in the New Economics Foundation report "Reimagining the High Street - Escape from Clone Town Britain" by reason of its diversity. The report is available as a pdf from the NEF website www.neweconomics.org and it is worth having a look at it. |
