David I agree with much of what you say but I reckon the Tories 'wanting to cut £6 billion' was simply part of their election campaign but had they gained an overall majority we would have seen substantially more being cut (rightly or wrongly)so I sincerely believe that the coalition with the Lib Dems will encourage much more debate and certainly some restraint and caution. That can't be a bad thing. Can it?? |
