If a thread has many replies and has certain well known names on it then you know when to avoid. Excepting those, I think many other threads do reasonably well. I don't write as often as some others, but I like both some of the politics and the non politics and I contribute or sometimes initiate a thread on both sides of the fence. When I get cross is where there is a stream of extremism. I get disappointed by some of the infantile language which clearly knows no bounds among some of the different age groups. if you look at some blog sites they are just unmentionable in their low standards and bile. We can do much better, but are not in any way in the same class. I think Chiswick has its fair share of politicos at the moment, but as they have the greatest readership they seem to do better at maintaining a wider mix of subjects. What intrigues me greatly is why does Chiswick have such a a large readership? Answers please. |
