Yes indeed it's very sad news. I knew that he had entered a Hospice. Lord Frank Field was a local Chiswick Councillor once and failed at some point being selected by the Local Labour Party to be their Parliamentary Candidate! He once lived in a flat above Fosters Bookshop in Chiswick ... an once in Dukes Avenue. My friend's Mum was his domestic help. He was much concerned with poverty and with one of my old bosses ..he set up the Low Pay Unit. I'm a bit gutted by his passing. What a man though. Well reported Paul. |
