| Like many - and although I am an ardent monarchist - I tend to agree that much of what we've been subjected to this last week has been overkill. Yes, for many of us the news has knocked us sideways. But - life has to go on - and hospitals cancelling operations and appointments is truly barmy. By all means for the duration of the funeral itself as far as possible shut shops/businesses as a mark of respect to The Queen, but places like Center Parcs just seem to be bandwagon jumping - and to what end? |
