| If 'Labour listens' , locally why then was Church St. closed to traffic after the proposal was overwhelmingly rejected at public consultation and, nationally, why did they lose so many 'safe' seats in their traditional heartlands at the last election? Why has Middlesbrough had a Tory mayor for years? It would perhaps to the casual observer that they have not been listening and that have now decided to at least appear to have washed out their lugholes. |
