| Don't forget your local Brentford Food Bank https://www.hounslowfoodbox.org.uk/ This is a registered charity (I am a trustee) and we serve all of Hounslow but because we're based in Brentford (behind Pets at Home) we inevitably serve Brentford best. Whilst all's well at the moment, we're already receiving enquiries from schools: if they have to close those on free school lunches (and in some cases breakfasts, courtesy of Greggs) are in serious danger of going hungry. Especially those whose parents are on zero hours contracts like somebody I spoke to yesterday who has already lost the hours they had at events that have been cancelled. We are also worried that the generous food donations we get from shoppers at Morrisons and some other stores may reduce so please, if you can spare some food or money, think of your local food bank! |
