I think it would be well worth those promoting this initiative to do some research (a) about existing UK skateparks and their level of usage and finance. Since the skateboard 'boom' in the 70's and 80's a lot of them have gone out of business as young peoples' enthusiasms have changed; and (b) about the likely level of demand from young people for such a facility.
If the existing skatepark in Isleworth is hardly used, is there really much point in opening another a mile or two away?
