| This Sunday (7th of April) will be our 2nd anniversary and 100th run of Osterley junior parkrun. It’s a 2km run for 4-14 year olds in Osterley park every Sunday morning at 9.00. We meet at 8.55 in front of the house for a warm-up. Best of all – because it’s run entirely by volunteers - it’s completely free! We usually get between 30 and 40 young runners, with nearly as many parents and carers cheering, running or volunteering. In total we’ve had 590 runners complete 3,503 runs. That’s a grand total of 7,006 km! As this week is a special one for us, I’m hoping for cake! If you would like to join us, you can register for parkrun at https://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/ This will allow you to run at any of the 292,754 parkrun events in 21 countries - for free! But don't forget your barcode. I hope to see some new faces this Sunday. |
