When they first laid the bumps they had to be removed because they didn't comply with the axle limits for ambulances which often use the road to get to West Middx Hospital. You couldn't make it up. The costs of removing and replacing just sucked up by the taxpayer. Worton Road has indeed become a massively used rat run since the closure of Church Street as everyone tries to avoid Twickenham Road which is constantly at almost deadlock. The traffic lights at Van Gough House have become a joke too. Cllr Lambert hasn't a clue about improving traffic or noise or pollution. He has only one childlike vision which is to get the whole of Hounslow Borough onto bicycles and keep all traffic away from his mates in Church Street. Worton Road is now an obvious by product Lambert's Folly - the closure of Church Street. Any fool could have foreseen the problems. |
