What would be the downside of closing off access to the A4/M4 from Lionel Road South for good? I can see why it is necessary to keep it open while there are waste dumps there to allow HGVs to exit the area quickly. Once these facilities are closed, which presumably is very soon, there will be no such justification. For general traffic the existence of this road just encourages rat running and displaced traffic would move to the A4 or M4 where it should be. |
