PLEASE VOTE TO SUPPORT THE DUKE OF NOTHUMBERLAND'S RIVER IN ISLEWORTH - www.london.gov.uk/biggreenpoll The Duke of Northumberland’s River flows from the River Crane in Twickenham to the River Thames in Isleworth. The Crane Valley Partnership, supported by the Friends of the River Crane and Hounslow and Richmond Councils, are currently bidding for £175,000 of funding from the Greater London Authority to make this neglected stretch of waterway into a haven for wildlife and a place for people to enjoy. The proposed improvements include making the link more accessible with better paths and signage. This project aims ultimately to create a new 10km circular riverside walk linking the Crane, Thames and Duke’s Rivers. This funding can only be secured if this project wins in an online poll currently taking place. So please vote by 2nd March deadline and please encourage others to do so too. Vote online at www.london.gov.uk/biggreenpoll and choose the “The Duke’s River Link” option. |
