I believe it's called the biggest in West London, It was started to provide funds for the school and still does, but in the process has become a complete monster . Some vehicles start queuing up on the Saturday evening and the main vehicles start queuing approximate 5.30 in the morning. Some Sundays the Que can back up over Chiswick Bridge and these are just the vehicles who are selling. On a good car boot, when the buyers arrive they descend on the area like ants, they completely block all the residential roads around the school and create havoc for local residents. We (the community) did have some dialog in the past about the amount of parked vehicles effected the safety of over 400 dwellings, which resulted in some vehicle management installed in local roads so emergency vehicles could gain access to community if needed, also to the sports fields where games of football and rugby can easy need an ambulance. I am not against any car boot, but unless they really effectively managed they soon become very annoying to the local residents around them. |
